How Much Do I Feed My Dog?
A common starting point for fresh food is about 2–3% of your dog’s body weight per day.
Every dog is different. Age, activity level, body condition, metabolism, and how Maui’s Meals is being incorporated into their existing diet can all affect how much they need.
Using 2.5% as a starting point:
5 lbs → 2 oz
10 lbs → 4 oz
20 lbs → 8 oz
30 lbs → 12 oz
50 lbs → 20 oz
These amounts are general feeding estimates and may need to be adjusted for your individual dog. Maui’s Meals signature recipes are intended for supplemental feeding.
Storage & Serving
Keep It Frozen
Maui’s Meals are prepared fresh and should be kept frozen until you’re ready to use them.
Thaw Before Serving
Move a packet from the freezer to the refrigerator and allow it to thaw before serving. For easier meal prep, keep your next packet thawing in the fridge while you use the current one.
After Thawing
Keep thawed meals refrigerated and use within 3–4 days. Do not refreeze once thawed.
Serving
Serve chilled or allow the food to come closer to room temperature before feeding. Maui’s Meals can be mixed with your dog’s regular food or served as a supplemental meal.
