How Much Do I Feed My Dog?
Standard Rule of Thumb: 2.5% of the dog's body weight, in ounces.
That's 2 oz for every 5 pounds!
For example, a 50 pound active dog, who is NOT overweight or underweight, should eat 20 ounces of fresh food per day.
The Math: 50 pounds = 800 ounces. 2.5% of 800 = 20
Some examples:
5 lbs - 2 oz
10 lbs - 4 oz
20 lbs - 8 oz
30 lbs - 12 oz
& so on....
